Sphagnum Peat Moss
Sphagnum Peat Moss is used as a basis of many substrates. Sphagnum Peat Moss is a relatively young white peat, originating mainly from the Baltic States. The peat moss is extracted from the top layer of a peat field, is lightweight and pale in colour. It has excellent water absorption and retention properties. Low acidity (low pH) and zero nutrient level are characteristic for Sphagnum peat moss. This makes it ideal for potting soil as the material can then be easily adjusted to each plant’s individual level.
